Description:Highfield is a clean, warm, comfortable, totally non-smoking town house near the centre of Ambleside. Just a short walk to restaurants, cafes, shops and cinemas, churches and approximatley 1 mile from lake Windermere for boating and sailing. Many walks start straight from the house. Guest bedrooms, 2 double and 1 twin/double, all are en suite, located on second floor accessed by stairs. All are attractively furnished with fell and garden views. Each has remote control colour TV, drinks making facilities, hair dryer and radio alarm clock. Lovely breakfast including full English, vegetarian or lighter options with lots of choice. Private car parking at the rear. Secure cycle storage by prior arrangement. Pleasant garden. Minimum 2-night stays, 3 nights at New Year and bank holidays. Reduced off-peak 3-night mid-week breaks Mon - Thu. regret no pets or children under 12yrs.

Directions:Frequent bus service run by Cumberland Stagecoach, between Windermere/Ambleside. The service runs between 0800-2200, buses 555, 559 and 505. From A591 Windermere/Ambleside road for approximately 4 miles. At the traffic lights at Waterhead take the right fork, A591/Lake Road. Turn 2nd left into Wansfell Road, then 1st right which leads to the private parking area at the top of the road. Walk up the garden path to the house. Entry is via the front door on Lake Road.
