| | Description: | A warm welcome awaits you at our small, friendly guest house. Lattendales is a traditional slate built Lakeland house situated close to the centre of Ambleside, with views to Rothay Park, Loughrigg fell and Wansfell.
A long-established family-run business, offering free parking via permit and high quality accommodation, all double rooms are en suite, 3 with baths, all newly decorated to a high standard and including colour TV, hospitality tray and hair dryer and free wi fi access in all rooms.
The Lattendales breakfast will set you up for the day, whether you prefer the traditional full English, a full vegetarian breakfast or something lighter, perhaps our own organic muesli with yoghurt and fruit, all personally served in our comfortable dining room.
All produce is locally sourced including free-range eggs, bacon, Cumberland sausage, freshly roasted coffee and Lakeland tea. Fruit infusions and green tea also available. With a little notice we'll do our best to cater for any particular dietary requirements.
Ambleside, at the northern tip of lake Windermere is in the heart of the Lake District National Park, making the town a perfect base from which to explore the many surrounding villages, lakes and mountains.
Within walking distance of Lattendales guests will find a large variety of shops, restaurants, bistros, bars and two small cinemas featuring the latest films.
Local activities include, fell walking, fishing, sailing, cycling, pony trekking and lake cruises. On the edge of town there is a delightful low-level riverside walk where you are immediately in glorious countryside, or take a stroll through the woods.
For the more adventurous there are circular walks which take in Rydal water, Grasmere and Loughrigg Tarn, with panoramic views of lake Windermere and Langdale Pikes.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent, value for money bed and breakfast, many of our guests return year after year.

| | Directions: | By car, from Windermere follow A591 to Ambleside. On arriving in Ambleside you will see White Platts recreation ground on the left-hand side adjacent to the parish church. Lattendales can also be found on the left-hand side, approximately halfway in-between the Church and Zeffirellis cinema.
By train, take the main line to Oxenholme The Lake District change for Windermere, Windermere to Ambleside by bus service or taxi is approximately 5 miles.
