Description:Our family welcome you to experience the charm of Lakeland from within a working fell farm with its origins in the 16thC. We have 5 double/twin en suite rooms, 3 with baths, each having a spectacular view across Derwentwater. Enjoy our traditional English farmhouse breakfast and relax in the original oak-beamed lounge. A permissive footpath runs through the farm to the nearby picturesque Ashness Bridge and stunning vista of Surprise View.

Directions:By road, from the intersection of the A66 with the M6 jct 40, take the A66 west to Keswick until reaching the roundabout at the end of a stretch of dual carriageway, approximately 17 miles. Take the first exit off the roundabout onto the B5271 and continue onto the T-junction at the end of this road, approximately 0.3 miles. Turn left and continue on the B5271 towards Keswick for 0.3 miles until reaching a mini-roundabout. Turn right onto the B5289 signposted Borrowdale and follow the road. Go straight on at the first mini-roundabout, approximately 1 mile and turn right at the next mini-roundabout, 0.25 miles, continuing on the B5289. Follow for 0.75 miles and fork left, signposted Ashness Bridge/Watendlath, 0.6 miles up this road you will pass over the narrow Ashness Bridge and the left turn into the farm drive is approximately 0.3 miles after crossing Ashness Bridge. Total journey time from M6/A66 junction approximately 30 minutes, 20 miles. A location map with route planning facilities via Google can be found on our website.
