Lanercost Bed & Breakfast is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for the prestigious AA 'Friendliest Bed & Breakfast' Award in Britain.
We have four individually decorated ensuite guest bedrooms. Each one is light and bright, with lovely views. The bedrooms all have incredibly comfortable beds. The modern, sumptuous ensuites have bath and/or double shower.
The guest sitting room has comfy sofas and a large open fire. We provide a wide selection of books and magazines for guests to enjoy.
Breakfast is served in the stylish dining room or, on a warm sunny morning, in the garden with the Priory as your backdrop.
Your hosts are Bob and Christina Lamb. Bob was previously a sheep farmer, and is passionate about high quality, locally sourced produce. He makes cheeses in Abbey Farmhouse (including Lanercost Blue and Cumbrian Camembert) which you are welcome to try. He also keeps the rare breed chickens that provide your eggs at breakfast time, grows herbs, fruits and vegetables for the B&B, and tends the two-acres of gardens that he hopes you will enjoy during your stay.
Christina was previously an award-winning, two-rossette chef. She has designed the breakfast menu at Lanercost Bed & Breakfast to provide the best in quality home cooking. She also makes all the breads and jams that we serve at Lanercost Bed & Breakfast. |
