| Description: | A 17thC manor house, set in 2 acres of own grounds overlooking Loweswater Lake. Melbreak, Grassmoor, and Whitesides are all within easy reach. The hotel has been owned by the same family for 44 years. All food is home cooked and local produce used when available. Small residential, well-stocked bar. Dinner is served between 19.00 and 20.00, unless prior arrangements are made for late arrivals or earlier time preferred if going to the local theatre. Early teas maybe served for young children. |

| Directions: | Leave M6 jct 40 at Penrith and take A66 to Cockermouth. At roundabout near Sheep & Wool Centre turn left onto A5086, go for 5 miles a long road towards Egremont, turn off for Mockerin, 2 miles through village take left turn for Loweswater Lake. Grange Country House Hotel is at the bottom of the hill on the left. Nearest rail route is Penrith or Carlisle. From Carlisle take West Cumbria line to Workington, then taxi to Loweswater. |
