We have retained its charm and character with original oak beams and real log fires throughout. We have a lounge bar with its new Coniston slate bar, a cosy snug, games room and a separate restaurant area. We serve a wide variety of local real ales, Good Beer Guide 2010, and the finest home-made food using the best seasonal local produce. We have 5 individually-designed guest rooms, which are perfect for a relaxing break, be it for a few days or a longer stay. We are located on the Cumbria coast and are ideally situated for exploring Cumbria and the Lake District National Park, with its many National Trust Properties, Lancashire or the Yorkshire Dales. Nearby is Holker Hall and Gardens, Cartmel renowned for its Priory and racecourse, Haverthwaite steam railway and several golf courses. We are only a short drive from Bowness, Windermere and Conistion.
