Description:Set between the popular villages of Hawkshead and Coniston and a short walk from Tarn Hows, Summer Hill offers contemporary luxurious guest facilities in a traditional Lake District country house. The house dating back to the 1700's has been recently refurbished to a very high standard bringing together the traditional features of a large Lakeland residence with contemporary luxury guest accommodation. The house overlooks the tiny hamlet of Hawkshead Hill and the surrounding fells and is within easy walking distance of the renowned beauty spot of Tarn Hows. All our bedrooms have en suite facilities and are equipped with a hair-dryer, satellite TV and a state of the art computer with access to the internet and our own extensive music and DVD library. All rooms have comlementary refreshments available. Most rooms are south facing and overlook the substantial garden areas. We have 1 twin room with a wheelchair lift and additional equipment for those with limited mobility. Guests can also enjoy free access to the prestigious Langdales Country Club. A range of breakfast choices are served int he breakfast room with its feature fireplace. Where possible our food is locally sourced and/or fair traded and special dietary needs are catered for. Guests have their own comfortable lounge.

Directions:From the south leave M6 jct 36 and follow A591 to Ambleside. From the north leave M6 jct 40 following signs for Keswick A66 then South Lakes A591. In Ambleside follow signs for Coniston, Langdales and Hawkshead A593. At Clappersgate turn left onto B5286 signed Hawkshead. After just over a mile turn right signed Coniston and Tarn Hows. After 2.5 miles at the top of Hawkshead Hill. Summer Hill country house is on the right just before the lane to Tarn Hows.
