| | Directions: | From Ambleside take the A593 Coniston Road and after 1 mile turn left at Clappersgate onto B 5286. Follow for about 4 miles. As you enter Hawkshead the road swings round to the left, at this point turn right into Barnfield. Signed leading to Vicarage Lane and Walker Ground. Go through the bungalows to T- junction. Turn right and go to the top of the lane 200 yds. DO NOT bear left but go straight ahead on unmade road. Our gates are on the left. GR 348 980
From the ferry follow the road for approximately. 4 miles. After crossing small bridge turn right. Signed, Ambleside/Coniston. Follow road around the village and where it swings right go straightforward into Barnfield. Signed leading to Vicarage Lane and Walker Ground then as above.
By public transport from the railway station at Windermere take 505 bus to Coniston, via Ambleside and Hawkshead.
