Dogs are very welcome. The accommodation is self-contained with double bed, single bed can be added, TV, settee, fridge and en suite shower room. There is a seating area outside. There are views of the mountains, including Skiddaw and on the fourth, views across the Solway Plain and Firth to Scotland.
We are perfectly located for a range of activities including walking for all abilities, cycling, the Reivers cycle route passes the property, mountain biking in the Whinlatter Forest, 3 miles, birdwatching, the ospreys can be viewed in Dodd Wood 5 miles away, as well as a multitude of other birds at the property and in the surrounding area. Canoeing and sailing, on Bassenthwaite lake, 2 miles and Derwentwater, 9 miles, exploring historic houses, Wordsworth House in Cockermouth and Mirehouse.
There are 4 pubs/restaurants within 2 miles, all serving meals.

After passing Bassenthwaite village take a right turn, at the Castle Inn Hotel, towards Uldale/Ireby. After 1.5 miles take the first turn on the left, signposted High Bewaldeth.
