Swinside is truly a walker’s paradise surrounded by fells - Skiddaw, Blencathra, Cat Bells, Causey Pike - and the hotel grounds also attract much local wildlife including red squirrels which are regularly seen from the hotel. Swinside Lodge has seven individually decorated bedrooms with mountain views from every room. Mike and Kath have completely renovated and upgraded the hotel to a very high standard. Personal attention to detail is seen everywhere: from the homemade packed lunches on offer, to the ability to cater for most specialist diets with a little notice. Once guests have stayed at Swinside they usually return!
