Ideal for wedding guests or small groups, families or individuals wishing to spend time in this unique and undiscovered part of the Western Lake District.
There are 10 rooms available, 1 room has facilities for the disabled, while another is dog friendly.
Muncaster Castle is set in over 70 acres of gardens. Headquarters to The World Owl Trust. Accomodation guests have free entry to the gardens, owl centre and meadow vole maze.
Lesiure opportunities available in the area are water sports, sailing, bird-watching, cycle routes, fell walking, climbing and horse riding.
Reception is open Mon - Fri 09.00 until 18.00, Sat, Sun 09.00 until 17.00. Late arrivals to follow telephone instructions for key collection.
Castle, cafe and shops will be closed from early Nov to mid Mar except for some Sund oipening and half term. Gardens and Owl Centre are open until the end of Dec and will re-open at the beginning of Feb. Reduced accommodation rates may apply during this period. From the north take A595 straight dwn from Carlisle, approximatley 1 hour and 30 minutes. One mile sfrom Ravenglass train station.
