The 5-star luxury apartments, which have just been awarded the Enjoy England Gold Award for exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service, are located in the magnificent country house, which has recently enjoyed a complete renovation, creating beautifully appointed apartments, with wood flooring in all living, kitchen and dining areas and under-floor heating and surround sound throughout. Each apartment is fully equipped with Poggenpohl kitchens, including washer/dryers, dishwashers and fridge freezers.
All bedrooms enjoy en suite facilities with Phillipe Starck designed wash wear, heated mirrors and towel radiators. The power showers and large, double-ended baths are truly fabulous, especially if you are returning from a long day from walking or sight-seeing.
There are 42" flat-screen TVs in each living room as well as a smaller flat-screen in each bedroom. You may prefer to simply enjoy the stunning views instead or wander out of your apartment and down to the lake, which is simply a minute stroll from each apartment. We also have fantastic drying cabinets in each apartment, just in case you need to dry boots and coats.
Bed linen and towels are included with each stay along with tea towels and oven gloves. We also provide salt and pepper, as well as a starter pack of toilet roll, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets and washing-up liquid.
All of our woodland cottages are well situated to enjoy both the private estate and the many local attractions on offer in the Lake District. The fifty acres of woodland and gardens attract many different animals and birds, with many sightings of deer, badgers, foxes and even otters.
These are family cottages with children of any age welcome. We also accept one dog with each party.
All cottages have fridge-freezers, irons with ironing boards and vacuum cleaners. Some of them also have a real open fire. Bed linen and towels are included along with tea towels and oven gloves.

| | Directions: | Leave M6 jct 36 signposted A591 South Lakes. Continue on A591 by-passing Kendal, travelling through Windermere and on to Ambleside. At the first traffic lights upon entering Ambleside turn left onto A593, signposted Coniston and Hawkshead. Follow lakeside road and the signs for the A593 Coniston and Hawkshead road turning left after Ambleside rugby club and left again over a very narrow bridge. After approximately 0.5 mile beyond the narrow bridge take a sharp left turn onto the B5286, signposted Hawkshead.
The entrance to Pullwood Bay Estate can be found on your left, approximately 1.5 mile along this road, you will come across the entrance quite swiftly as you travel round an uphill, left turn, having first passed Skelwith Fold Caravan Park on your right.
