Welcome to Crake Trees Manor, spacious and modern bed and breakfast accommodation in our wonderful converted 19thC Westmorland field barn at centre of the family farm.
Hares are boxing, a peewit swoops to protest, a jack russell asleep in the morning sun, listen, that eerie sound is a raven, up high in the sky. Enjoy all this and more as you enjoy a really special breakfast spread in front of the enormous cart window. Home-made granola, prunes in green tea and a seasonal platter of fruits, as well as my famous farmhouse platter of local bacon, Cumberland sausage with bitter apple, baked tomatoes and mushroom, with an egg just done as you fancy. Finish with local bread and my own marmalade and jams to keep you going throughout a day of exploring Cumbria.
Crake Trees Manor farmhouse, converted with cutting edge style using green oak, steel and glass with local thick slate floors. Relax in deep chairs by the wood stove. Enjoy your meals around the massive oak dining table. There are 3 lovely en suite bedrooms, 1 king size with shower and views from many windows, 1 double with shower and a private balcony, 1 self contained king size suite with private entrance and balcony. An easy mix of modern and antique furnishings.
Perfect for walking and running and cycling, right from the farmhouse. Five circular footpath trails start from the yard. The winding roads and endless views can be as relaxed or as challenging as you choose. Then sleep well and return home truly relaxed.
