| Description: | Enjoy magnificent views from our traditional Lakeland Guest House, located in Troutbeck, surely one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District. High Fold Guest House is set in its own grounds with ample parking. We are only 3 miles from Windermere and the lakeshore and offer an ideal base to explore the south lakes. Troutbeck offers a quiet village location but for those guests who wish to leave their cars behind excellent dining is available at 2 nearby inns/restaurants.
High Fold Guest House is a no smoking establishment and guests' pets are not allowed in the house.

| Directions: | If travelling by rail to Windermere, taxis are available at the station for the 3 mile journey to Troutbeck. From M6 jct 36 follow the signs for Western Lakes/Windermere A590/A591 for approximately 16 miles. On entering Windermere, The Windermere Hotel is on your right, keep straight on for Ambleside. After approximately 0.5 miles turn right at the mini-roundabout signed Kirkstone Pass/Ullswater A592. After approximately 2 miles turn left, signed Troutbeck, beware this is an acute turn. Proceed up the hill and turn right at the top. After approximately 100 metres turn right at a white cottage into a forecourt. High Fold Farm is the building immediately ahead of you. |
