However, under our ownership the whole house has been completely redecorated and refurbished.
We offer comfortable and welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation in an ideal location, only a short walk to all of the local shops, cafes and restaurants, and conveniently situated for the railway station.
All of our 6 guest bedrooms are centrally heated and fully double glazed, and all are en suite, with shower rather than a bath. We offer king-size double, double, twin, family and single rooms. All of the bedrooms have a flat-screen digital colour TV, refreshment tray with tea, coffee, herbal infusions and crunchy biscuits, fluffy towels, hairdryer, alarm clock and wineglasses. Our hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and include locally made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs delivered from the local farm, with vegetarian or lighter alternatives. All meat and non-meat items are cooked and served separately. There is aslo a choice of cereal to choose from, grapefruit and fruit juice, with fresh toast and a plentiful supply of tea, coffee or herbal infusions.
Unusually we have retained our spacious ground floor guests' lounge, with maps and booklets to help plan your visit, and there is a digital colour tv and DVD player.
For everyone's safety and comfort, we are a completely non-smoking guest house.
We have some private off-road parking and there is free parking on Holly Road.
Minimum age for children is 4 years. Latest arrivals 9pm.
