Description:Thank you for the interest you have shown in Kirkwood Guest House in the English Lake District ideally positioned for exploring the Lakeland area we are situated on a quiet corner, halfway between Windermere and Bowness. A friendly guest house for B&B accommodation with a most hospitable welcome. As we enjoy walking and love the area we are able to advise on all aspects of your holiday. The house is warm and tastefully decorated, all rooms are en suite and there are some 4-poster rooms. All rooms have colour TV some have DVD's and all have tea/coffee making facilities. There is a ground floor room available. Our comfortable lounge is available for you to use at any time. Windermere town centre with its bustling interesting shops is within easy walking distance and lake Windermere is only a short walk away in the other direction. Bowness is also close by with its own shopping area to explore, there are museums, cafes, sporting facilities, as well as the breathtaking lakes and mountains.

Directions:M6 jct 36, follow the signs for The Lakes, stay on A591 to Windermere. At Windermere pass the main intersection and take the next left turn after the pedestrian crossing. Carry on straight through the town past the shops. After the pedestrian crossing at the end of the shops count 4 turns to the left, take the fourth at the slate tower and then first right onto Princes Road, we are halfway up the road on the right.
