Description:Gilian and Brian Womersley welcome you to to the beautiful English lake District and Lindisfarne House, an attractive, traditional detached Lakeland stone house built in 1881. Situated in a quiet area within easy walking distance of Windermere village centre, Bowness and Lake Windermere. A short car ride takes you to the neighbouring villages of Ambleside and Grasmere which are set in the heart of Wordsworth country, or across the lake by ferry brings you to Sawrey, the home of Beatrix Potter, whose house Hill Top is now owned by the National Trust and open to the public. Our accommodation has a unique homely feel designed for relaxation and maximum comfort, the bedrooms have been thoughtfully decorated, each offering a high degree of comfort and relaxation. We have 4 letting rooms, 3 of which are ensuite, and 1 with own private shower room. For that special occasion we have a deluxe super-king room. Each room is equipped with colour TVs, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities.

Directions:Turn left into Windermere village from A591 and drive through following signs for Bowness. About 0.25 mile further on heading down New Road, look for Thornbarrow Road and take first left turning into Prince's Road. Lindisfarne is on the left on corner of Sunny Bank Road.
