The guest house is personally run by its owner, Leigh Giles, and is the perfect accommodation base from which to explore the stunning scenery and natural beauty of the Lake District.
Situated in a quiet residential area close to Baddeley Clock Tower, the midway point between Windermere and Bowness, Montfort Cottage is just a 10-minute walk from either village and their abundance of shops, restaurants and traditional pubs, and a short distance from Lake Windermere itself.
Rooms at Montfort Cottage are available to book on a room only basis, with the option to add a full breakfast for just £4.95pppn extra, giving guests a choice of tariff to suit their requirements. Please use the notes section on the booking form to request breakfast and tell us of any special dietary requirements. Guests of Montfort Cottage are also entitled to membership of Parklands Country Club in Bowness during their stay, so don't forget to bring your swimming costume and a towel. Facilities offered include the use of the gym, swimming pool, spa bath, squash court, steam bath and sauna.
We operate a flexible arrival time policy from 11.00 until 21.00. Although we cannot guarantee your room will be ready before 14.00 you are welcome to check-in before this time, leave your luggage and collect your room key. Check-out is by 11.00 on the day of departure.
A complimentary transfer in Leigh's car is available for guests arriving by train or coach, subject to availability. Use the notes section on the booking form to request a transfer.
