Description:Sympathetic conversion of a 2-storey sandstone barn offering 2 or 3 bedroom accommodation, each with own en-suite or bathroom. Cottages have been inverted to enjoy the far reachng views of the Lakeland hills and Pennines from the living space. The living areas are open plan, with log burning stoves and fully-fitted kitchens which include oven, dishwasher and fridge. Master bedrooms include en suites along with king-size iron frame beds with quality mattresses ensuring a restful night. Outside there is space to sit out and relax and enjoy the views and sun set over Blencathra and other Lakeland hills or peer down the uncovered 40ft well discovered in the conversion, made safe for those peering too far! Blencarn is situated in the Eden valley a short distance of the A66 enjoying peaceful surroundings away from the hustle of daily life. The village has a fly-fishing lake where day catch tickets can be bought Apr-Oct. Alternatively you can enjoy leisurely walks in and around the village or visit the local art studio. The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Hadrian's Wall are all within easy reach allowing you to enjoy stunning scenery as you travel through the area. The North Pennines provide interesting routes for cyclists, motorists and those in search of interesting drives with Alston some 1900ft climb and Cross Fell at 890m for those with mountain bikes or a thirst for hill walking. We welcome classic and sports car owners looking for secure garaging and the facility to carry out daily checks and running repairs or cleaning. Penrith and Appleby are close by offering traditional shopping with a good supply of local pubs close by serving locally sourced food on the menu. Available all year round with flexible options for short breaks available.

Directions:From A66 heading west towards Penrith. Stay on A66 past Appleby and after 2 miles take right turn towards Long Marton. Follow until reach T junction, by church and turn left. Continue on this road through Milburn and follow signs for Blencarn. Once in the village then Midtown Farm can be seen on your right-hand side. From M6 jct 40 heading east from Penrith towards Brough, follow A66 to next roundabout. Take second exit on A686 to Alston. Carry on this road for about 3 miles until you reach Langwathby. Follow road through village and under railway bridge. As you come up hill you will see brown sign for Blencarn fishing lake, take this right and follow the road into Skirwith. In the centre of the village take right turn towards Blencarn and as you come out of the village you will see a left turn again signposted to Blencarn. Follow this road until you arrive in the village. Follow road round to the right and we are about 200 yards on the left.
